CURRENT OPEN POSITIONS

Account Representative

Temperance, MI

Purpose: 

You will be responsible for servicing accounts while building customer relationships by supporting the sales team.  This may involve communication through our E-Commerce platform, phone calls, chat system, and email.

Responsibilities

  • Direct communication with our customers- Quoting and chatting with customers and communicating market information.
  • Customer Service- Timely responses to customer requests, order status updates.
  • Creating relationships with customers and other departments within Rolled Alloys- Credit, Inside Sales, Field Sales, Account Managers, Product Management, Scheduling, Metallurgical Services, Operations, and Quality Assurance teams.
  • The ability to communicate effectively through multiple platforms- Via email, through the website, and phone calls.
  • Efficiency with computers and relevant programs.
  • Being able to stay organized and flexible in stressful situations.

QUALITY ENGINEER

WINDSOR, CT

Purpose:

Rolled Alloys has an excellent opportunity for an innovative, versatile team player as a Quality Engineer, to join our dynamic team at the Windsor, CT location. The purpose of this position is to ensure that the facility operates efficiently in accordance with established Rolled Alloys QMS procedures. This person will be responsible for directing on-site quality activities and priorities in support of the quality management system and internal and external customer service. They will collaborate with the global quality team and internal stakeholders to champion continuous improvement efforts throughout the organization to ensure our commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and release orders to customer and specification requirements
  • Perform pre-operation checks of work orders to ensure compliance with established requirements
  • Review OEM / Industry specifications to determine compliance.
  • Interface with warehouse and sales personnel with respect to material quality and specification issues
  • Add specifications to inventory.
  • Field self or delegated assigned portal tickets.
  • Evaluate validity of, and respond to, customer complaints.
  • Determine disposition of returned or nonconforming material
  • Assist Quality Manager in oversight of quarantine and non-conforming material
  • Initiate and lead 5S warehouse campaigns.
  • Develop and champion continuous improvement projects resulting in best practices.
  • Coordinate Material Testing with Laboratories
  • Update Test Reports as necessary
  • Monitor Positive Material Identification (PMI) program in facility.
  • Contribute to monthly meetings with warehouse and sales teams, as necessary.
  • Problem Solving as necessary to improve processes and business resources.
  • Process freight damage claims
  • Analyze claim performance as it relates to the facility
  • Conduct workstation audits on shop floor
  • Assist/conduct training.
  • Develop and implement corrective/preventative actions.
  • Maintain calibration systems.
  • Order and manage warehouse equipment.
  • Assist in facility’s Safety Program
  • Assist in the analysis of process equipment capabilities.
  • Assist with physical inventories.
  • Complete Projects when required.


Qualities We Seek

  • Five+ years of experience with quality, manufacturing, process engineering, or related experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Demonstrated motivation, initiative, facilitation skills, and progressive leadership
  • Experience in the use of quality improvement tools to diagnose and conduct root cause analyses, conduct audits
  • Technically adept at applying process control, quality specifications, inspection techniques, and lean manufacturing / continuous improvement methods
  • Demonstrated strong analytical, organizational, writing, and computer skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate and present status, action, recommendations, and other technical information with clarity, precision, organization, and efficiency (formal and informal)
  • Ability to respond to inquiries from customers, suppliers, or regulatory agencies both timely and effectively
  • Personable and Positive in a Team Environment
  • Detail and service oriented
  • Adaptive and Resourceful
  • Ability to manage time and priorities effectively.
  • Excellent written communication
  • Passion and Enthusiasm for your work
  • Aerospace and/or Metals experience a plus
