Rolled Alloys to Build New High-Tech Light Manufacturing Plant in Monclova Township
Rolled Alloys, a leader in the metals industry for both heat resistant and corrosion resistant alloys, broke ground yesterday on a new high tech, light-manufacturing facility in Monclova Township, just south of Toledo.
The 45-acre site at the intersection of Monclova and Jerome roads will add many jobs to the community when operational. Most of the employees will come from the company’s Temperance, Michigan, facility, which the company has outgrown, but expectations include significant employment growth as well.
Rudolph Libbe Inc. of Walbridge, Ohio, is the builder for the one-story, 222,100-square-foot modern manufacturing facility with 29,050 square feet of attached office space. While the area has long been zoned for light manufacturing activity, the plant is designed to blend into its surroundings.
The project, expected to be completed in August 2024, is part of the Joint Economic Development Zone comprised of the City of Toledo, Monclova Township and the City of Maumee and fits into the Triad Business Park Master Plan. It is also supported by Lucas County, the Regional Growth Partnership, JobsOhio and the Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority.
